Todd Poteat has extensive work experience in the manufacturing industry. Todd started their career at Crane Resistoflex in 1988, where they held the position of Operations & Engineering Manager. In this role, they had profit and loss responsibility for all operational areas of the company and provided leadership to a team of 10 direct reports and 115 non-union employees. Poteat was promoted to this position to lead the organization in implementing Lean manufacturing practices. After working at Crane Resistoflex for almost 18 years, they joined Western Plastics in 2006 as the Director of Operations. In this role, they were responsible for the overall site management, including engineering, quality assurance, procurement, production control, manufacturing, and human resources. Poteat was promoted to this position to restore profitability to the company. In 2012, they joined Bright Plastics as the Vice President of Manufacturing, a position they currently hold.

Todd Poteat pursued their education starting from 1983 to 1987 at North Carolina State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). Following this, they enrolled at Western Carolina University from 1994 to 1998 and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in MBA.

Bright Plastics

Bright Plastics is a custom injection molder of plastic parts, assemblies and components. We serve numerous markets including medical, automotive, consumer, waste handling, electrical, aerospace, recreation, military and defense, and others. Our manufacturing area holds 36 injection machines from 40 to 1550 tons of clamp force, 3 automated assembly machines, an in-house mold shop, an ISO 8 class 100,000 clean room, and a fully bar coded warehouse and shipping area. Bright is ISO 9000:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certified and TS9000 compliant. Other capabilities include product design, mold design and procurement, mold construction and maintenance, Mu-cell injection molding, and 24-hour shipments for select products and customers.
