Energy Engineer II at Bright Power

Julian Cantor has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Julian started their career at Bright Power, Inc. in 2017 as a Project Engineer, where they provided engineering consulting retrofit design and installation services in residential buildings. Julian also conducted cost-benefit analyses and ensured compliance with Federal, State, or local laws. Later on, they transitioned to the role of Energy Engineer at the same company in 2019. In this role, they provided construction and installation project management and conducted energy simulation modeling for multifamily and commercial buildings.

Before joining Bright Power, Inc., Julian worked as an MEP Engineer at Ventrop Engineering Consulting Group, PLLC in 2016. In this position, they developed energy simulation models for residential high rise buildings, performed mechanical design calculations, and provided engineering consulting services for residential and commercial building designs.

Prior to their engineering roles, Julian worked as a Private Tutor from 2011 to 2016, providing academic support in math, physics, chemistry, and engineering subjects, as well as test preparation techniques for standardized tests.

Additionally, Julian gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the Cuny Energy Institute's Thermal Fluids Laboratory from 2015 to 2016. Julian also served as a Math Tutor at Borough of Manhattan Community College from 2011 to 2014, providing academic support and reinforcing math concepts for students.

Julian Cantor received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The City College of New York between the years 2010 and 2015.
