Hamed Shamkhalichenar

Hamed Shamkhalichenar has extensive work experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on research and development. Hamed currently holds the position of Senior R&D Electrical Engineer at Bright Uro since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an R&D Electrical Engineer at Casana from January 2021 to June 2022. In this role, they were responsible for rapidly translating high-level requirements into concepts, designing and prototyping integrated electrical, mechanical, and software systems, as well as managing external consultants for prototype development.

Before joining Casana, Hamed worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Louisiana State University from June 2020 to January 2021. During this time, they developed technology-based solutions for cryopreserving aquatic species and designed a complex monitoring and freezing system. Hamed also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the university from January 2015 to May 2020, where they designed and fabricated various electronic systems for cryopreservation and electrochemical analysis. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from January 2016 to May 2018.

Hamed's work experience also includes a Summer Internship at Iran Telecom Research Center in 2013, where they studied optical fiber communication and designed a system board for optical transceiver modules.

Hamed Shamkhalichenar completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology. Hamed attended this institution from 2009 to 2014. Following their undergraduate studies, Hamed pursued further education and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Louisiana State University. Hamed was enrolled at Louisiana State University from 2015 to 2020.
