Jeff Schwartz

Jeff Schwartz has over 19 years of experience in the insurance industry. Jeff started their career at AXA - Equitable as an Associate Actuary and worked there for four years. Jeff then moved to New York Life Insurance Company, where they held various roles, including Associate Actuary, for ten years. During their time at New York Life, they contributed to building a Financial Risk Management System and conducted mortality analyses, among other responsibilities. In 2013, they became a Consultant at New York Life and worked there for a year before joining MetLife as a Director & Actuary. After three years at MetLife, they joined Brighthouse Financial in 2017 as a Director & Actuary, where they are currently employed.

Jeff Schwartz has a BS degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Stony Brook University. Jeff has also obtained certifications in Coaching and Developing Employees, Managing Diversity, Managing Temporary and Contract Employees, Motivating and Engaging Employees, and Balancing Multiple Roles as a Leader from Lynda.com. Additionally, they are a Competent Toastmaster certified by Toastmasters International. Jeff has also completed a course in Emotional Intelligence for Personal Leadership from the Institute for Health and Human Potential. Furthermore, they are a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries certified by the Society of Actuaries.
