Julia Laing

Visual Designer at BrightLine

Julia Laing has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2014 when they worked as a Summer Camp Counselor at Onondaga Camp. In 2016, they were promoted to Section Head at Onondaga Camp, where they were responsible for managing a group of 10 staff and overseeing 40-60 children aged 13-14. In 2017, they worked as a Server at Loondocks, followed by an Office Assistant role at Dobbin Sales Ltd in 2018. That same year, they founded their own business, Julia Laing Design, where they worked on projects ranging from mobile app development to digital illustration. In 2020, they joined Clear Concept Inc as their first dedicated Designer and managed the visual design through an on-going rebrand effort. In 2021, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Citi, and in 2022 they began working as a Visual Designer at BrightLine.

Julia Laing has a varied educational background. Julia began their education at Neuchâtel Junior College, graduating with a High School degree in 2014. Julia then attended Queen's University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology in 2018. In 2017, they completed a Semester at Sea, BAH in Sociology at Semester At Sea / ISE. Julia then attended Humber College, graduating with a Diploma in Advertising and Graphic Design in 2020. In 2019, they completed a Diploma in User Experience Design at BrainStation.
