Cédric Leroy

Cédric Leroy has a diverse work history in the field of software engineering and energy systems. Cédric is currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at BrightNight since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at SunPower Corporation for ten years, starting in 2011. At SunPower, they held various roles including Senior Software Engineer, Energy Analytics, Software Engineer, SCADA Project Engineer, and Project Engineer. In these positions, they were responsible for tasks such as SCADA system design and project management, designing off-grid photovoltaic systems, and developing software in Python.

Before joining SunPower, Cédric Leroy worked as a Product Engineer at Energie Relais from July 2010 to June 2011. Cédric spent a year abroad in West Africa assisting genset assembling companies with customer needs analysis, market adaptation, and developing monitoring products. Cédric also programmed simulation software in Python to help customers reduce energy costs.

Earlier in their career, Cédric Leroy worked as an R&D Engineer at Thales from July 2009 to February 2010. Cédric'swork focused on creating models of hybrid energy systems for military survey purposes using Matlab/Simulink. During this time, they implemented various algorithms and GUIs for data visualization and optimization.

From September 2007 to February 2008, Cédric Leroy worked as an R&D Engineer at Eurotec BJF. Cédric'sresponsibilities included monitoring electrical machines in quarries using SCADA-based software and customizing report templates using VBA/DreamReport.

Cédric Leroy completed their studies at UTBM from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2006, they attended CPGE ATS, focusing on Maths and Physics.
