Juan Hernandez

Juan Hernandez, M.Ed., serves as the Director of Special Education Support Services at Brighton Center since January 2015, with prior roles including Special Education Services Manager and Special Education Advocate and Trainer. Hernandez has a military background, having served as a Civil Affairs NCO (S3) in the 451st Civil Affairs BN, U.S. Army Reserves from January 2012 to February 2021, where responsibilities included the analysis and coordination of Civil Affairs operations. Experience also includes positions at Judson ISD and the U.S. Army, TRADOC, where training and development of Soldiers in field artillery tactics were key duties.

Hernandez holds a Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus on Applied Behavioral Analysis from Kaplan University.
