Dan Sisan

Director Of Engineering at Brightspot

Dan Sisan began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 1996, where they conducted nuclear physics experiments. Dan then continued their academic journey as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland from 1999 to 2004, focusing on nonlinear dynamics and chaos. Subsequently, they worked at Georgetown University as a Research Associate and later as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor. Later, they joined the National Institute of Standards and Technology as an NRC Postdoctoral Researcher and eventually became the Director of Engineering at Brightspot, where they worked on frontend and backend engineering for web development projects.

Dan Sisan obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 1999. Dan later completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics at the University of Maryland in 2004. In 2015, Dan also obtained certifications in Scalable Machine Learning and Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark from edX, as well as a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
