Leah Nelson

Leah Nelson has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Leah'smost recent role was as a Home Health and Infusion Nurse at BrightStar Care since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Flu Vaccination RN at Priority RN Nursing from September 2019 to November 2019. Previously, they served as a Caregiver at Cassie's Cardinals LLC from September 2014 to September 2017. Leah also has experience in the fitness industry, having worked as a Studio Experience Team member at CorePower Yoga from December 2015 to July 2017. Leah served as a Nursing Assistant at UCLA Health from September 2016 to June 2017. Additionally, they interned as a Communications and Event Planning Intern at Venice Family Clinic from September 2015 to June 2016. Leah has also been involved in various leadership roles, including serving as an Executive Board Member & Director of Social Enrichment at Project Concern International from September 2015 to June 2016, and as the Internal Philanthropy & Activities Chairwoman at Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority from September 2014 to June 2016. Leah has prior experience in customer service as an Associate Cashier & Front End employee at Walmart from June 2015 to September 2015. Lastly, Leah gained experience in sports medicine as a Sports Medicine Intern at UCLA Athletics from September 2014 to March 2015.

Leah Nelson attended Azusa Pacific University from 2018 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a focus on Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Prior to that, they attended UCLA from 2012 to 2016, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology and Society. In terms of additional certifications, Leah obtained the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification from the American Heart Association in August 2019. Leah also obtained certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the same institution in 2019.
