Kelly Sites has a wealth of work experience, beginning with their role as a Customer Service Representative at Addison's Restaurant in 2005. In 2011, they took on a Senior International Admissions Representative role at Harrington College of Design, as well as a New Business Specialist role at Media Answer Inc. That same year, Kelly Sites was hired by the South Korean Government as a Camp Leader/English Instructor, where they acted as a liaison between the Korean administration and U.S. teachers, led large groups of non-native English speakers, and quickly adapted to new cultural work environments. In 2008, Kelly Sites was a Regional Field Director for a political organization, where they increased youth voter turnout in three districts and successfully elected democratic candidates to local, state, and national office. Kelly also coordinated voter registration drives and worked phones to successfully recruit donations and volunteers. In 2016, Kelly Sites was a Global Teaching Assistant at the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 2020, they took on the role of Support Associate at Lugg, and in 2021, they became a Billing and Subscription Team Lead and Customer Support Advocate at brightwheel. Throughout their career, Kelly Sites has also been a Digital Content Creator for their own business, Kelly Sites Yoga, since 2015.

Kelly Sites completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2009. Kelly also completed a study abroad program in International Agriculture at Lincoln University (NZ) in 2008. Additionally, in 2008 they participated in a study abroad program in International Business at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Arts in Global Affairs at the University of Oklahoma, which they expect to complete in 2023.
