Mia Ellis has a strong background in finance and law. Mia currently holds the position of Managing Director at Brightwood Capital, where they have been since 2019. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Investments Counsel at the same company from 2019 to 2023. Mia also has experience working at Dechert LLP as an Associate from 2018 to 2018, and at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP as an Associate from 2009 to 2018.
Mia Ellis received their B.A. in Middle Eastern & Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Mia later pursued their J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, completing their degree between 2006 and 2009.
