Kamlesh Patel

Kamlesh Patel has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Kamlesh is currently serving as the Vice President of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Brii Biosciences since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Drug Product Development at the same company from January 2022 to April 2022. Before joining Brii Biosciences, Kamlesh worked as the Senior Director of Product Development at the company from August 2020 to January 2022.

Prior to their role at Brii Biosciences, Kamlesh worked as a Principal Consultant at KAAJ Pharma Consulting LLC from October 2019 to August 2020.

Kamlesh's previous experience includes various roles at GSK. Kamlesh served as the Group Director of Drug Product Design and Development, Sterile CoE, Product Development & Supply from January 2016 to October 2019. Kamlesh was responsible for enhancing the capabilities of the Sterile Center of Excellence and providing strategic and technical directions for the development of injectable and oral dosage formulations.

Kamlesh also served as the Group Director of Global Formulation, Sterile CoE, Product Development & Supply from September 2013 to December 2015. During this time, they established a center of excellence for the development of sterile products and managed a group of scientists responsible for the design and development of solid oral dosage forms and injectable formulations.

Prior to this, they held roles as the Group Director of Exploratory Development Sciences/Early Development, Product Development & Supply from November 2008 to September 2013, and as the Group Director of Product Development from June 2003 to November 2008. In these roles, they provided strategic technical direction for product development and managed activities related to the development of multiple compounds.

Kamlesh's career at GSK began in 1989, and they worked their way up from an Associate Senior Investigator to the position of Associate Director from November 1989 to January 2001.

Kamlesh Patel obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The University of Kansas from 1985 to 1989. Kamlesh Patel also holds a degree in Pharmacy, specifically a B Pharm, from Gujarat University.
