Simon Gilbert

Simon Gilbert has an extensive work history in engineering roles. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Design Engineer at Guralp Systems until 2015. Following that, they were a CADCAM Engineer at MJD Ltd from 2014 to 2015, where they also took on responsibilities in computer maintenance and networking. In 2015, they joined Navtech Radar Ltd as a Project Engineer for a brief period. Simon then moved on to Tactiq Ltd in 2015, where they held the positions of Senior Embedded Engineer and later Lead Engineer until mid-2017. After that, they worked at Radamec Control Systems as a Senior Development Engineer and then as a Technical Director until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, Simon was a Senior Embedded Engineer at Animal Dynamics. Currently, they are working at Brill Power as the Head of Firmware since December 2022, and prior to that, they served as a Senior Firmware Engineer from July 2022 to January 2023.

Simon Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Artificial Intelligence with Cybernetics from the University of Reading, which they earned between 2006 and 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Higher National Diploma in Computer Systems Engineering at Buckinghamshire New University from 2004 to 2006. Simon also obtained a certification in BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) from Petans Limited in February 2014.
