Evan Patronik has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Evan currently works as the Chief of Staff at Brimstone, a company focused on decarbonizing the cement industry. In this role, Evan ensures that the ecosystem of teams, people, systems, and communication at Brimstone works well.

Prior to joining Brimstone, Evan worked as a Climate Tech Venture Scout at Enduring Planet. In this role, they connected climate entrepreneurs to rapid financing without dilution, personal guarantees, or collateral.

From 2016 to 2023, Evan served as the Senior Director of Venture Selection at Unreasonable Group. Evan led a team that sourced, identified, and engaged for-profit ventures from around the world that were solving social and environmental issues. Their focus was on driving funding to these ventures and creating a global network of entrepreneurs.

Evan also has experience as a volunteer firefighter and instructor at Lyons Fire Protection District. Evan was certified to teach dive rescue programs and trained as a structure and wildland firefighter and EMT.

Additionally, Evan has co-founded and worked in various roles at StandLogix, The unDesk, Carve Industries, and Stanton Engineering Services. These experiences involved activities such as developing connected activity tracking solutions for standing desks, manufacturing adjustable-height desking solutions, producing handmade wooden surfboards, and working as an associate engineer in fire protection engineering.

Furthermore, Evan has worked as a consultant and co-adventurer at Black Sails, VI, where they collaborated on marketing and advertising projects and organized various outdoor adventures. Evan also served as the first mate on a sailing voyage from St. John, VI to Lewes, DE.

Evan Patronik pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Fire Protection at the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Fire Protection at the same university, graduating between 2003 and 2007. Additionally, Evan obtained various certifications, including an Extrication Technician certification in January 2017. Evan also holds an Emergency Medical Responder certification from the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control, which they obtained in May 2015. Evan acquired certifications in Ice Rescue and Swift Water Rescue Trainer from Dive Rescue International in January 2015 and May 2014, respectively. In March 2014, they completed the Swift Water Rescue II certification with the same institution. Furthermore, Evan obtained an Incident Qualification Card from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group in June 2013. Evan completed the Swiftwater Rescue I certification and obtained a Master of Steam & Motor 50 Ton with Sailing Endorsement from the National Maritime Center United States Coast Guard in June 2013 and April 2011, respectively. Additionally, they earned the Fundamentals of Engineering certification from NCEES in October 2007 and a Faller Class A (FALA) certification from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group in June 2016.
