Stefan Zlatev

Stefan Zlatev is a Partner at Breakthrough Energy Ventures since June 2019, focusing on investments in companies utilizing innovative technologies to combat climate change. Concurrently, Stefan serves as a Board Observer for Brimstone, Rondo Energy, and Sortera Alloys, Inc., and is a Climate Tech Fellow at On Deck. Prior experience includes an Investment Associate role at Volvo Cars, where support was provided to founders in the mobility sector, and various positions at Rolls-Royce, including Engineering Team Leader and Business Valuation roles. Stefan's early career featured an internship at NASA, analyzing the International Space Station's orbit. Educational credentials include an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPhil/MEng in Energy Technologies from the University of Cambridge, and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering, with studies conducted at The University of Edinburgh and UC San Diego, along with foundational education at the High School of Mathematics "Academic Kiril Popov."
