Senior Process Engineer at Brimstone Energy

Vladimir Kozlow has a varied work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Research and Development Engineer at Brimstone. From 2019-2022, they were a Process Innovation Engineer at Black & Veatch, where they designed, assembled, commissioned, and operated a water reclamation research pilot within budget and schedule. From 2018-2019, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford University, where they conducted a systematic analysis of the provision of water, sanitation, and hygiene services in rural African healthcare facilities and conducted a meta-analysis linking characteristics of water delivery projects in Africa to their sustainability. In 2018, they were an Operator at William and Cloy Codiga Resource Recovery Center, where they operated and maintained a Staged Anaerobic Fluidized Bed Membrane Bioreactors (SAF-MBR), MABR, and forward-osmosis pilots for low-energy wastewater reclamation. Vladimir also monitored process performance via lab and online data analysis, designed and assembled process upgrades. In 2018, they were an Environmental Engineer Intern at Trussell Technologies, Inc., where they led pilot studies on RO and UV-AOP skids and participated in O&M of 1MGD water reuse demonstration plant. From 2016-2018, they were a Speakers Manager at TEDxArtsEtMétiers and a Material Science and Manufacturing Engineer and Mechanical Engineer Intern at Gold of Bengal. At Gold of Bengal, they prototyped jute-based bio-composite products and implemented/tested new weaving processes on an industrial quilting machine to improve wet-out and drape of the fabric, supervising 2 operators.

Vladimir Kozlow obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Sciences, and Computer Science from Icam - Institut Catholique d'Arts et Métiers in 2013-2015. Vladimir then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers in 2015-2018. In 2017-2019, they earned a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and Science from Stanford University. In 2014, they also obtained a Cambridge English Advanced (C1 level) certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
