Abhishek Thakur has worked in the field of autonomous engineering for the past four years. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Autonomous Engineer at BRINC Drones. From 2018 to 2021, they were an Algorithm Developer at Aptiv, where they were responsible for calibrating and interfacing radars with Aptiv software and determining vehicle pose. Abhishek also worked as an unpaid Member at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they designed, implemented, and tested a lidar-based multi-robot SLAM system. In 2017, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, and an Apprentice Engineer 3 at Denso International America, where they were responsible for calibration of the lidar and camera for 3D map generation and mapping of the environment using Normal Distribution transform.
Abhishek Thakur attended Lakshmipat Singhania School from 2008 to 2010, where they completed their Class 10. Abhishek then attended Delhi College of Engineering from 2011 to 2015, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. After that, they attended University of Michigan from 2016 to 2018, where they earned their Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
