Joshua James

Joshua James is a Counsel at Crowell & Moring LLP since July 2021 and has been an Associate at Brinks Gilson and Lione since September 2014. With extensive experience in litigation, Joshua has participated in multiple bench trials, argued motions before judges in federal courts and the PTAB, and engaged in significant depositions, particularly related to Hatch-Waxman pharmaceutical litigations. Joshua has drafted appellate briefs, IPR and reexamination briefs, and pleadings focused on invalidity, noninfringement, and claim construction issues. Previous roles include legal extern at Purdue Research Foundation, summer associate positions at Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP, and Brinks Gilson and Lione, and an internship in patent law at Rolls-Royce. Joshua holds a Juris Doctor in Intellectual Property from Full Stack Squad and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical and Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology.
