Gill Bearnson has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical engineering. They started their career at the University of Utah's Artificial Heart Research Lab as the Manager of Electronics Design and Testing. Following that, they worked at MedQuest Products, Inc as a Senior Project Manager, where they contributed to the development of the HeartQuest VAD. They later joined Weber State University as an Assistant Professor before transitioning to World Heart, Inc. At World Heart, Inc, Gill held the positions of Director of Advanced R&D and VP of Research and Development, supervising various projects and managing design controls. They then worked at HeartWare Inc as a Technical Staff Scientist. Later, Gill joined Medtronic as a Distinguished Scientist, specializing in systems engineering for the HVAD implantable ventricular assist device. Most recently, they joined CH Biomedical (USA) Inc. as the Vice President of R&D Systems Engineering. Overall, Gill Bearnson has extensive experience in research, development, and leadership within the biomedical engineering field.
Gill Bearnson completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2001.
