Jacob Anson is an experienced professional in sports infrastructure and venue management, currently serving as the GM for Government, Venues, and Major Projects at the Brisbane Lions since April 2016. In this role, Jacob leads stadium strategy and the Lions' business diversification portfolio, which includes various commercial ventures. Previously, Jacob held leadership positions within the Australian Football League where responsibilities included strategic planning and stakeholder relations in Queensland. Jacob has an extensive educational background with degrees in Conservation Ecology from the University of Melbourne and a Master's in Urban and Environmental Planning from Griffith University, complemented by a certificate in Sports Facilities Management from Barça Innovation Hub. Currently, Jacob is a Management Committee Member for The Committee for Brisbane, an influential organization dedicated to enhancing the future of Brisbane.
