Chris Wild MBA CMgr MCMI has a diverse and extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Chris currently holds the position of Head of Airfield Operations at Bristol Airport and has been in this role since May 2023.
Prior to their current position, Chris founded and chaired Aviation Action in 2020, an organization focused on providing support to individuals in the aviation industry. Chris also has experience as the Head of Operations at Arriva Road Transport Services from January 2022 to May 2023.
From 2015 to 2022, Chris worked at Manchester Airport in various roles. Chris started as the Head of Airfield Safety & Compliance in November 2015 and moved on to become the Head of Airfield Operations from April 2018 to August 2020. Chris then took on the role of Head of Airside Operations from August 2020 to January 2022, where they led a team of approximately 185 colleagues in the areas of Airfield Operations, Airfield Security, and Airfield Control.
Chris also has management experience at Humberside Airport, where they served as the Airfield Operations Manager from September 2010 to October 2015. In this role, they dealt with various airfield operational and regulatory aspects, including compliance, fuel management, noise and environment, and wildlife control management.
Before joining Humberside Airport, Chris worked as the Airport Duty Manager at Robin Hood Airport in 2010, overseeing the airport operations and ensuring safety and a positive experience for airlines and passengers.
Chris began their career as an Aviation Consultant at Osprey Consulting Services Ltd from December 2009 to September 2010, where they worked on airside infrastructure changes and windfarm assessments and mitigation for airports.
In 2006, Chris started as a Graduate Management Trainee at Coventry Airport and eventually became the Manager Operations & Compliance. Chris managed various operational and compliance issues until the airport ceased operations in December 2009.
Prior to Coventry Airport, Chris worked at London City Airport as a Ground Services Team Leader from January 2004 to August 2006. In this role, they managed a team of ground handling staff and coordinated the aircraft turnaround process.

Chris Wild MBA CMgr MCMI has a strong educational background in business administration and management, particularly in the field of aviation. Chris attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from London Metropolitan University, completing this program between 2003 and 2006. Continuing their education, Chris pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Manchester Metropolitan University between 2019 and 2021, further expanding their expertise in Business Administration and Management, in the general sense.
