Nunes Michael

Nunes Michael is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience at the Bristol County Sheriff's Office since May 1991, currently serving as the Major of the Special Investigations Unit, overseeing a ten-person team focused on the safety and security of correctional facilities. Previous roles include Deputy Sheriff, Captain of Investigations, Lieutenant, Sergeant, Correctional Officer, and K-9 Officer, emphasizing expertise in conducting employment background checks and internal investigations. Additionally, Nunes served as a Patrolman at the Acushnet Police Department since November 1997 and as a Task Force Officer with the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit Bristol County from February 2018 to April 2023.
