Marianne Brown

Marianne Brown is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and community engagement. Currently serving as the Communications and Community Engagement Manager at Bristol Energy Cooperative since February 2023, Marianne has previously excelled as Editor and Deputy Editor for Resurgence & Ecologist magazine at The Resurgence Trust from May 2017 to November 2022. Earlier roles include International Communications Officer at The Donkey Sanctuary, Vietnam Bureau Chief for Deutsche Presse-Agentur, and contributions as a freelance journalist for various prominent outlets, including Voice of America and The Guardian. Marianne holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London, obtained in 2010.
