Tristan Parris

Tristan Parris is a seasoned professional in the sports sector, currently serving as the Director of Sport at Bristol Grammar School since September 2023 and as Vice President of Commonwealth Fencing since August 2022. Previously, Tristan held the position of Competition Director for Pentathlon GB during the 2023 World Championships and served as Discipline Lead for the talent pathway within the organization until September 2023. Additionally, Tristan was Director of Sport at St Paul's School and President of England Fencing until August 2023, with earlier roles including Director of Modern Pentathlon and Director of Fencing at Millfield School, where significant growth in participation and standards was achieved. With extensive coaching experience, Tristan also contributed as a Fencing Instructor at Marlborough College and as a consultant fencing coach for Pentathlon Ireland, notably helping athletes qualify and compete in the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics. Tristan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Bristol, completed in 1999, and attended Bedford Modern School prior to university.
