Desta Sahle

Desta Sahle is an intern at Bristol Myers Squibb, assisting the Director of R&D Capabilities Communications with the external science communication strategy focused on predictive technologies such as AI and ML. Prior experience includes a Public Relations Intern role at Athelo Group, managing media lists and press content, as well as hands-on work as a Laboratory Apprentice at nanoFAB, where expertise in lithography and microscopy was gained. Desta has also completed a consulting externship with PwC, analyzing nonprofit challenges and conducting comparative analysis. Earlier experiences include enhancing customer service as a Certified Barista at Peet's Coffee and coaching young athletes in gymnastics with Arlington County Government. Currently pursuing a degree at the University of Southern California, Desta previously earned an IB High School Diploma from Washington-Lee High School.
