Emer Somers

Emer Somers is an accomplished Senior Manager in Principal Process Engineering at Bristol Myers Squibb, with a career spanning over a decade in the biopharmaceutical industry. Since joining Bristol Myers Squibb in July 2016, Emer has led process engineering efforts for new product introductions, process transfers to contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), and the design of a new drug product facility. Previous experience includes serving as Tech Transfer functional lead for significant new product initiatives and managing complex filtration system designs at Jacobs from June 2011 to June 2016. Emer holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin, a Master of Science in Biopharmaceutical Science from the Institute of Technology, Sligo, and a Higher National Diploma in Project Management from Technological University Dublin.
