Fawad Shamshad

Fawad Shamshad is an accomplished senior executive with extensive experience in internal audit and governance. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Audit Officer at Bristol Myers Squibb since June 2025, Fawad previously held the position of Vice President, Head of Internal Audit at Biogen from October 2021 to June 2025. Fawad's career includes roles at Johnson & Johnson as Vice President of Global IT Audit, SOX and Digital, as well as Senior Director, and at Bristol-Myers Squibb as Director of Global Internal Audit from March 2008 to January 2019. Fawad began professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Manager from July 1997 to March 2008. Fawad holds an MBA and BSc in Management Information Systems and Management from Rutgers University–Newark and has a diverse educational background that includes time at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Seoul International School.
