Karen Hurley

Karen Hurley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operational excellence and project management within the life sciences sector. Currently serving as Associate Director of PMO & OpEx at Bristol Myers Squibb since February 2019, Karen has previously held key roles including Senior Manager of Business Excellence and Project Management Office Lead. Prior to Bristol Myers Squibb, Karen worked as a Lean Consultant at KH Lean Ltd and as Global Operational Excellence Project Manager at Mylan. Additional experience includes a Principal Consultant position at BSM, where the focus was on helping leading life science companies adopt Lean practices. Karen’s earlier roles span senior analyst positions at Organon and Wyeth, as well as a directorial role at JustCover.ie. An educational background includes a BSc in Biotechnology from Dublin City University, and certifications in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
