Sumit Bansal

Sumit Bansal, PhD, is a Senior Research Investigator at Bristol Myers Squibb since November 2022. Previously, Sumit served as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington, focusing on clinical evaluations of cannabinoid-drug and goldenseal-drug interactions. Sumit’s research experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Doctoral Research Scholar at the National University of Singapore, where projects involved enzyme activity assays and selective estrogen receptor modulators. Earlier positions included Assistant Professor roles at various institutions and a Graduate Research Scholar at Manipal University, where Sumit synthesized and characterized thiazolidin-4-one derivatives. Sumit holds a PhD in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics from the National University of Singapore, a Master’s in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Manipal University, and a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy from Kurukshetra University.
