Janeth Joseph Edson

Janeth Joseph Edson currently serves as the Head of Legal, Compliance, and Company Secretary at Britam since January 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Head of Governance (Strategy), Legal & Compliance, and Governance & Legal Advisor at World Vision from March 2017 to December 2022, as well as Company Secretary at Great African Food Company from July 2017 to February 2019. Janeth's legal career began as an Advocate at Mashiba Law Group from December 2014 to February 2017. Janeth holds a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Center for Corporate Governance Kenya, a Master's degree in Leadership and Governance from the Institute of Accountancy Arusha, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The Law School of Tanzania, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Commercial Law from the University of Iringa/Tumaini University Iringa. Academic foundations were laid at Loyola High School and St. Mark's Secondary School, both focusing on Social Sciences.
