Shailesh Kumar

Shailesh Kumar is a seasoned procurement professional with over a decade of experience, currently serving as the Head of Procurement at Britannia Industries Limited since July 2012. In this role, Shailesh is responsible for sourcing raw materials such as wheat and dairy, managing packaging materials, overseeing ingredients procurement, handling Capex procurement, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to 80 manufacturing locations across India. Prior to Britannia, Shailesh held various positions at ITC Limited from June 2007 to February 2012, including Purchase Manager and General Manager Procurement, where responsibilities included managing the Agri Value Chain, processing operations for soybean and rice, and logistics for multiple processing plants. Shailesh holds an MBA in Agricultural Business and Management from the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management and a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.
