Rene de Groot

Rene de Groot is the COO of British Airways. Rene has previously held the position of Managing Director at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from April 2015 to October 2022. From January 2012 to December 2014, they were the Senior Vice President Operations at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Rene has also been a Captain at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from February 2010 to December 2011 and from November 1996 to January 2010. Rene de Groot has also been a First Officer at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from March 1993 to October 1996 and from May 1992 to February 1993. Rene has also been a board member at VNV Vereniging van Nederlandse Verkeersvliegers from January 1999 to April 2005.

Rene de Groot attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business for executive education and the RLS Rijksluchtvaartschool for a degree in aviation.
