Joseph Mile has extensive work experience in the field of sports medicine and general practice. Joseph has held various roles, including Chief Medical Officer at British Shooting, British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS), and British Canoeing. Joseph has also worked as an Event Doctor at British Gymnastics, Matchday Doctor at Mansfield Town Football Club, and Women's Team Doctor at Leicester City Football Club. Additionally, Joseph has served as a Team Doctor at Loughborough Sport and as a Sports Medicine Physician at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Joseph has also worked as a General Practitioner at Forest Medical and as a GP Trainee at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Joseph Mile received their Master of Science in Sports and Exercise from the University of Bath, which they pursued from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate degree in Medicine, MBChB, at the University of Birmingham between 2008 and 2013. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained the certification of FA ATMMIF from The Football Association in March 2021.
