Rachel Steenson Fbcs

Rachel Steenson FBCS is an accomplished professional with significant experience in leadership and management roles within the IT and spatial planning sectors. Since September 2015, Rachel has held multiple positions at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, including Chair of Council, Vice Chair of BCS Council, and Branch Chair. Rachel also serves as Vice Chair for the Belfast Branch at BT Group and holds a Board Member position at Alpha Housing. Previous roles include Business Development Manager at Civica and Market Engagement Manager NI at Esri Ireland, among others. Rachel's earlier career includes a decade at Land And Property Services, where responsibilities encompassed management of Oracle licenses and systems, project management for large-scale mapping initiatives, and contract management. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Geographic Information Science from Ulster University, an MSc in Computer Science and Applications from Queen's University Belfast, and a BA Hons in Hospitality Management from Ulster University.
