Colette Baillie is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media and external communications, particularly within the arts sector. Currently serving as the Senior Media and External Communications Manager (Arts) at the British Council since February 2023, Colette previously held the position of External Communications Executive at The Scottish Government. A notable tenure at BBC from November 2017 to August 2021 included roles as Publicist for BBC Sounds and Assistant Publicist for BBC Children's, Education, and BBC Sport. Colette's earlier career also includes press and publicity roles at Channel 4, with initial work experience at The Scottish Government and BBC. Colette holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies from Queen Margaret University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Journalism from La Trobe University.
