Sharon Bridgland-Gough joined the British Cycling Board in May 2019.
Sharon has over 30 years HR experience and has held a number of senior HR roles within global and national organisations including start-ups and well-established fast paced organisations in major technology, financial services, defence and healthcare. Her past posts include Chief People Officer at Nuffield Health and Chief Human Resources Officer at Cardtronics PLC, the world’s largest independent ATM business. Sharon now runs her own business.
Sharon’s passion and skill is in creating environments where people thrive, alongside scaling-up People functions so that HR becomes a visible enabler for the transformation, taking responsibility for linking people’s passion with their performance to deliver great outcomes for the business.
Sharon is a keen recreational cyclist, enjoying the health and wellbeing benefits of cycling, the time with her family and being the proud owner of a bright pink tandem.
