British Eventing
Charlie Lane is an esteemed equestrian expert with over 20 years of experience in various roles, including as an Equestrian Expert Witness at Lane Equestrian Consultants Limited, providing over 2000 written reports and giving oral evidence in over 140 court cases. As the BHA Stewards Panel Chair and Manager of The Racecourse Department, Lane has overseen numerous racecourses. Engagement with British Eventing includes positions such as Independent Chair of Youth Performance Selectors and British Eventing Steward, alongside coaching and serving on the Board of Directors. Lane has also contributed to the British Equestrian Federation and British Horse Society as an accredited coach and member of various panels. Previous military service includes commanding The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, coupled with an educational background in Agriculture and Equine Science from Christ Church, Oxford, and the University College of Wales.
