Kian Lun Wong is an accomplished actuary and risk management leader with extensive experience in the insurance sector. Currently serving as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Actuary at British Gas since June 2019, Kian provides strategic oversight across the company's servicing and insurance operations, which serve approximately 7 million customers and generate around £1 billion in Gross Written Premium. Prior to this role, Kian held the position of Chief Risk Officer for Life Insurance and Pensions at LV= from September 2012 to April 2019. Kian's previous experience also includes senior roles at Aviva, including Regional Head of Capital Management and Regional Head of Solvency II, Internal Model, as well as consultancy positions at EY and Willis Towers Watson. Kian is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and received education at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
