Andrew Howard

Honorary Research Associate at British Geological Survey

Andrew Howard has extensive experience in the field of geology, currently serving as an Honorary Research Associate and Science Director for Geology and Regional Geophysics at the British Geological Survey since 2008. Responsibilities include overseeing geological surveying, 3D geological modeling, and regional geophysical surveys in onshore UK. Andrew has contributed to the Yorkshire Geological Society as a Council member, Trustee, and held the positions of President and General Secretary between 2012 and 2020. Previous roles at the British Geological Survey include Programme Manager for the National Geoscience Framework and Geologist from 1984 to 2007. Andrew's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Jurassic palaeo-environments from Queen Mary University of London and a BSc in Geology from The University of Sheffield.
