Colm Jordan is an experienced professional in the field of geoscience and satellite applications, currently serving as Assistant Director at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since May 2021. Colm has held various prominent positions at the British Geological Survey since January 1999, including Honorary Research Associate, Head of Geodesy and Earth Observation, ODA Platform Manager for Global Geological Risk, and Head of Earth & Planetary Observation & Monitoring. Additionally, Colm served as Chair of the Advisory Board at the East Midlands Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications from April 2017 to May 2021 and was Chairman of the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society from September 2013 to September 2016. Previously, Colm worked as a Geologist at the Geological Survey of Ireland from January 1993 to January 1999. Colm holds a PhD from the University of London, a BA from University College Dublin, and is currently pursuing an MSc at the University of Aberdeen.
