David Hawthorn is an experienced Geologist with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Applied Geology from the University of Glasgow and a Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Manchester, focusing on the permeability of Kimmeridge clay mudstone. Currently serving as the Seismic Network Manager at the British Geological Survey since July 2015, David has previously worked as a Seismologist at the University of Leicester, contributing to long-term passive seismic projects to address various geological issues, and as a Project Engineer at Aperio, specializing in ground penetrating radar analysis for civil engineering structures.
