Martin Culshaw is an accomplished engineering geologist with extensive experience at the British Geological Survey since December 1971, where roles progressed from Manager of Engineering Geology to Director of Environment and Geohazards. In addition to this role, Martin Culshaw has served as an Honorary Professor of Engineering Geology at the University of Birmingham since September 2007. Martin Culshaw was also a member of the Council for The Geological Society of London from May 2005 to May 2009. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Geology with subsidiary physics and soil mechanics from the University of Birmingham (1967-1970) and an MSc in Engineering Geology from the University of Leeds (1970-1971).
