Laura Piercy

Laura Piercy is a seasoned media professional specializing in research communications, currently serving as Media Manager (Research) at the British Heart Foundation since April 2021. Laura has held various roles including Senior Media Officer (Health and Research) and Research Communications Officer at the same organization. Prior to that, experience includes the Stroke Association as Research Engagement Officer, focusing on Patient and Public Involvement in research. Laura's career also includes educational roles at The Smallpeice Trust, managing STEM educational programs, and other temporary positions in administration and outreach. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Clinical Neurology and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Sheffield, along with a Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute.
