Matthew Cherrett

Matthew Cherrett has over 15 years of work experience in various roles within the technology and architecture fields. Matthew is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at cartd. Prior to this, Matthew worked at the British Heart Foundation as the Director of Data & Architecture and a Strategy Consultant. Matthew also worked at Lilium as a Senior Architect and at Ambassador Theatre Group as an Enterprise Architect and a Domain Architect. Earlier in their career, Matthew had roles at British Airways as a Solution Architect and a Technical Design Lead, and at Forbes Direct as an Administration Supervisor.

Matthew Cherrett completed a Bachelor of Science in Physics with laser and quantum technology from the University of Exeter between 2002 and 2007. Matthew also attended Oxted School from 1996 to 2002 for their A levels. In 2010, they pursued a PgC in Information Technology Professional Practice from The Open University, which they completed in 2012. Additionally, Matthew obtained certification as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in February 2021.
