Rohan McMillan

Rohan McMillan has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Rohan began their career as a Business Systems Analyst at Calor Gas Ltd in 1988 and later worked as an Assistant English Teacher at the Japanese Ministry of Education from 1992 to 1994. Rohan then joined the London Fire Brigade, where they served as a Watch Commander for eight years. In 2004, they transitioned to QinetiQ, initially working as a Capabilities Group Leader before becoming a Senior Internal Auditor. Rohan then joined AWE in 2008 as an Internal Audit Manager before taking on the role of Risk & Audit Manager at The Prince of Wales's Charitable Foundation in 2012. Rohan also served as a member of the Ethics Committee at Wiltshire & Swindon Fire Authority from 2009 to 2014. From 2013 to 2020, they were an Independent Audit Committee Member at the Wiltshire Police. Currently, Rohan holds the position of Head of Risk & Assurance at the British Heart Foundation, where they oversee a team covering risk management, corporate audit, compliance, and more. Throughout their career, Rohan has demonstrated a strong commitment to risk management, audit, and assurance.

Rohan McMillan obtained a Post-Grad Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) from Ealing School of Management in 1991. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Economics (BSc. Econ Hons) with a focus on International Politics from Aberystwyth University in 1988. Rohan also attended Exeter School in Devon from 1981 to 1986. In terms of professional certifications, they obtained a Chartered Internal Auditor (CMIIA) qualification from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors - UK in 2010, as well as a General Certificate in Health & Safety from NEBOSH in the same year. In 2004, they completed the Graduates Examination from the Institute of Fire Engineers.
