Alan Raftery

Alan Raftery is an experienced communications and marketing professional specializing in social media and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as the Social Media Marketing Manager at the British Horse Society since April 2022, Alan promotes equine welfare and supports the equestrian community. Previous roles include Communication Officer at Badminton Europe, where Alan created dynamic content for high-profile events, and as the Founder of Nix Mix. Alan has also held positions at Coventry City Council and Coventry University, enhancing skills in event management, tutoring, and recruitment. Alan holds a Master's degree in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BSc in Psychology from Coventry University, complemented by a strong academic foundation from King Henry VIII School.
