Paddy Carter

Head Of Development Economics at British International Investment

Paddy Carter is an experienced professional in the field of development economics, currently serving as the Head of Development Economics at British International Investment since May 2018. Prior to this role, Paddy held positions as a Research Fellow at the Center for Global Development from July 2017 to April 2018 and as a Senior Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute from May 2014 to July 2017. Paddy also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Bristol between July 2011 and May 2014, where involvement included the British Academy Post Doctoral Fellowship. Paddy Carter earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the University of Bristol, completing the degree from 2007 to 2011.
