Stephen Priestley has a diverse work experience in the financial services industry. Stephen served as the Managing Director of the Financial Services Group at British International Investment since March 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of Regional Head for Africa, Middle East, and Pakistan CIB at Standard Chartered Bank from an unknown start date to April 2018. From an unknown start date until November 2015, they worked as the Regional Co-Head of Wholesale Banking for Africa at the same bank. Before joining Standard Chartered Bank, they served as an Investment Banking MD at J.P. Morgan from an unknown start date to 2009. Additionally, Stephen worked as a JPO at UNDP from 1990 to 1991.

Stephen Priestley obtained an MBA from The Wharton School, studying from 1991 to 1993. Prior to that, they pursued an MA in International Development from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) from 1987 to 1989. Stephen completed their undergraduate studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with a BSc in Economics, which concluded in 1986.
