David Woods has a diverse work experience starting in 2011 as a Student at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. In 2013, they worked as a Deputy at the Cambridge Scholars' Programme. David later joined the casenexus.com company in 2014, where they worked in Product Development for a short period, primarily focusing on product testing and providing feedback. Concurrently, in 2014, they worked as a UK Collegiate Consultant and later as a Senior Deputy at the Cambridge Scholars' Programme.

In 2014, David also worked as a Food and Beverage Assistant at Village Urban Resorts. David then transitioned to Teach First in 2015, where they served as an English Teacher until 2016. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Langcliffe Merger Connect, first as a Deal Executive and later as an Assistant Manager in the Private Equity division, specifically handling UK and Europe operations.

Since 2019, David has been working at British Patient Capital, initially as an Investment Analyst and currently as an Investment Manager, a position they have held since September 2021.

David Woods attended Grammar School at Leeds (GSAL) from 2004 to 2011, where they obtained their A Levels in English Literature, History, and Physics. Following this, they attended the University of Cambridge from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth). In addition to their formal education, David Woods obtained the LP Foundation certification from the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) in March 2020.
