Learning & Development Manager, Migration & Displacement at British Red Cross

Courtney McKelvey is a professional with a strong background in migration and displacement, currently serving as the Learning & Development Manager for the British Red Cross since July 2023. Previously, Courtney worked as a Services Strategy Officer at the Refugee Council from November 2022 to July 2023 and as an AmeriCorps Volunteer Manager and Project Officer at the "I Have A Dream" Foundation from August 2020 to July 2021. In addition, Courtney served as a Fulbright English Teacher from July 2019 to March 2020, representing the US Department of State in educational exchange and community engagement in Korea, a position cut short due to COVID-19. Other notable experiences include internships at Wish of a Lifetime, ORAM, and the Congressional Office for International Leadership. Courtney holds a Master’s degree in Migration Studies from the University of Sussex and a Bachelor’s degree in International/Global Studies from Elon University, along with study abroad experiences in Scandinavia and participation in The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.
